Seeking to escape Subcon to the realm of the waking, Wart tried to make it out through a different type of dreams: wishes. He used the power of wishes in Star Haven to appear in the waking realm and tried to steal the Star Rod. He failed, as it shattered into seven pieces, but he was able to grab one fragment, which was enough power to bring his flying castle into the waking realm. However, he still wanted the rest of it for his own wishes, but realized someone else was collecting them instead. When they brought the other six fragments to Star Haven, he flew his castle there and attacked.

The group who had collected the fragments, the YB, flew to Wart's castle, and he tried to kill them and take the fragments to reform the Star Rod. However, he was dealt a crushing defeat and lost the fragment he had. Without the fragment powering his castle, it began to fall; it crashed and Wart was sent flying out of his castle. When he awoke, the area he was in exploded; he, his castle and his minions were then sent back into Subcon once again.
