Rebel Yell was the second story in the Galdenthane Saga, and takes place after the events of The Crystals of Madness. It revolves around a group of individuals in the Rettilite Sector, a system on the edge of Galactic Federation space, and the rebellion of the system from their control. It is the first major story involving the Galdenthane and the ScryAldor.

Story
Prolouge: The Rettilite Sector
The story began with an introduction to the sector, which was settled by the Galactic Federation in the 1800s. The Rettilite Sector was on the edge of known space, a fringe system to the Sapia Galaxy. It started with miners moving in to use the vast mineral scattered throughout its planets. Gradually as the various wars of the 20th century took their toll on the Federation, they began to levy more taxes and restrictions on the miners. Eventually, the planet of Koperil openly opposed the Federation's taxes. On the day that the planet's representative, Daniel Rohal, announced the succession of the planet from the Federation, a nuclear bombardment devastated the planet annihilating its population. The Federation blamed it on extremist terrorist groups within the sector, and used this attack as an excuse to levy more forces to ensure peace in the sector.
Then in 2009, above the fringe planet of Faitios Taua, on the fringe of the sector, a fleet of golden ships appeared. They unleashed a bombardment of blue beams on the planet, annihlating it entirely.
Chapter 1: The Wasteland
The story starts on Faitios Taua's sister world of Notic Taua. The dragon humanoid Guerrera, who was there to find a quiet place to settle down, was appointed Magistrate of a backwater colony on the planet after the Federation sent forces to secure the planet in the chaos of its sister planet's destruction. She was contacted by General Warwick of the 33rd Federation Marines who stated they were to relocate their camp to the outlying wastelands. Then her new assistant, Clover entered, stating she was to help her with the move. Guerrera's computer stated that it had contacted the local Marshal, Noah Holt, who would help them relocate. They met with the Marshal, but were ambushed by a group of green crystal spiders. They defended themselves from the ambush, but were confused as to what the things were. Noah took the group to his camp, and suited them up for combat should the creatures come back.
Chapter 2: Backwater
The group stayed around their camp, Holt commenting that if they could avoid the creatures they would have an easy time. Then they received a report from the nearby colony of Backwater Station, reporting that they were under attack by a swarm of the same creatures. Noah contacted Warwick to try and get support, but he reported that he got the transmission and that he would take care of it. Noah commented that if they waited it'd be too late, and they had to move to defend the colony. Noah, Clover and Guerrera moved to the station's defense, which were under attack by the smaller spider-like Swarmers they encountered earlier as well as a new breed of snake-like creatures that shot spines, named Needlers. After a drawn out battle it was clear they would be overrun soon, when they spotted a large floating creature above the broods, named a Zeppelin. Guerrera destroyed the creature, which seemed to scatter the attacking broods. Holt ordered the men to regroup and attack the area where the creatures came from.
The militia forces stormed the creature's position, finding the ground to be covered by a green sheet of crystal. They found an old Federation building that seemed to be spawning humans infected with the crystal and reanimated as zombies with the ability to stun creatures with their voices. Clover and Guerrera dispatched these, and destroyed the building infected by the crystal growths. Soon after, General Warwick arrived with a group of marines, ordering the militia to stand down and stating they were all under arrest for destroying a vital piece of Federation property. Noah protested, but him and his militia were forced to stand down. Clover managed to slip away as the rest were being arrested.
Chapter 3: The Evacuation=
The chapter opened up with a Federation patrol of two humans surveying the wasteland. Their buggy runs into what they thing is a dog, but it's revealed to be a Swarmer. The sergeant states it's a Galdenthane, and comments they shouldn't be out this far. Just then he notices a group of Needlers and Swarmers behind him, who kill the both of them.
