Octbert is an Octillery scientist with questionable ethics. He is actually somewhat based off an Octillery form Topper had during Hachacha, although there is no actual connection between the two. He wears a helmet that enhances his Psychic abilities and a nozzle on his nose that powers up his beam-related moves.

History
The Demon Ghost Nocktor
Not much, if anything, is known about Octbert prior to his first appearance. All that's really known is that he's been a scientist for years, but one day he was attacked by Nocktor, who used Hypnosis on Octbert to make him do his bidding. He was pretty much unconscious this whole time, but learned that Nocktor had him go to a group of islands guarding some shards to a crystal. The Yoshi Bodyguards came to get these crystals, but this was due to Nocktor kidnapping Yoshi.
With the YB collecting the shards, Nocktor called Octbert back to the base to attack the YB when they arrived (as they had no idea Nocktor was evil). Nocktor had Octbert use a helmet to increase his power, but the helmet was broken and Octbert was defeated. He later woke back up after Nocktor was defeated by a host of legendary Pokemon, and with the crystal destroyed, all the Pokemon left. Octbert went off on his own, and took the idea of the helmet and built the Octo-Helmet and then the Beam Nozzle.
Robotic Pokemon Attack!
Time passed, and eventually Octbert ended up at Olivine City. He planned to go to the Whirl Islands when the city was suddenly attacked by a bunch of invading robot Pokemon. Octbert stayed in hiding until he saw a robot Politoed and a robot of someone he recognized as Top, a YB, leave the city to the Whirl Islands in a Chinchou-shaped ship.
Soon after he saw a pikachu, yoshi and sentret: Danny, Mr. Okra and Wepro. He recognized Danny as a YB, and told them about the robot of Top, so they went in the Danny Cruiser and headed after them. At the middle of the night, the ship was attacked by a Metal Feraligatr, but they were able to destroy it and get to the islands without drowning. There, a Metal Meganium attacked them, but it was also destroyed.
Just then they saw Metal Top being blasted off the island, and went into the caves to see Lugia, who had just blasted Metal Top away. With that, Danny, Mr. Okra and Wepro left and Octbert remained on the island, snatching a Master Ball Metal Top brought to the island. Since then, he's remained on the island, working on a new invention with the Master Ball...
Personal Information
Personality
Octbert is less of morals and more of thinking of himself. He's a scientist, and spends most of his time working on inventions for himself. He's not exactly the best in morals, but still helps out heroes when they come around... provided it's in his favor. He won't help a villain, though... hopefully. His inventions aren't exactly the nicest things, but they're what he wants to make, so he'll make him. He also works alone, preferring not to associate his inventing with others.
Appearance
Octbert is an octillery who wears a blue helmet with a red stripe down the middle, and a yellow nozzle with a blue stripe down the middle.

Octbert has high intelligence and has the suction cup and sniper abilities, allowing him to firmly stay on the ground and increase the power of moves that hit weak spots. He also knows these moves:

Items
Beam Nozzle
The Beam Nozzle is a device that fits on Octbert's nose/mouth/snout and increases the power of any beam attack he uses, including Signal Beam, Ice Beam and Charge Beam. It also increases the power of Flash Cannon, despite not being a beam.
Octo-Helmet
The Octo-Helmet increases the Psychic power of Octbert when he uses Psychic. It also protects his head and can make for a strong smash if he has to use his head physically; it's enforced well.
Master Ball
After the events of Pokemon Obscure Metal, Octbert obtained a Master Ball that Metal Top had taken earlier. His plans for it are unknown.
Interactions with Other Characters
Danny
- Main Article: Danny
Octbert remembered Danny as a YB in Pokemon Obscure Metal, and also remembered him as one of the powerful ones. He finds Danny vexing at times, and mostly used him as protection from the robotic Pokemon to get to the Whirl Islands.
Wepro
- Main Article: Wepro
Octbert found Wepro's constant peace-loving and fight-disliking nature annoying and sometimes told him to shut up when he started going on about it. Not very good terms at all.
Trivia
- Octbert is still partially based off Topper when he was an Octillery in Hachacha. And that is still weird.
- Although Octbert is listed as a hero, he's somewhat of an anti-hero and in his first story was suspected of double-crossing the YB before finding out Nocktor was controlling him.
