- A modest star empire of forty worlds of about 100 light years across. 400 years ago, a deadly virus attacked anything with a Y-chromosome, killing 99.9% of the males over forty years. Leaving only a million males on a world of a billion women. Most became lesbians. Before they died, a series of sperm donations were taken from each to make a storehouse of germ plasma. Artificial insemination is used for procreation. Over the years, female bodies have developed antibodies against the Y-chromosome, and therefore most children are female.
