Get some sleep
From Torg Adventure
Reluctantly, you peel out of your wet clothes and crawl into bed. You close your eyes, waiting for sleep to finally overcome your exhuasted mind. The events of the night replay in your mind and your heart sinks into the pit of your stomach as you recall the heated argument between you and your friend. You can't help but wonder if things will be different between you two from here on out. You finally fall asleep with the thought that you wish you could beat the shit out of Keith.
You wake the next morning to the smell of eggs and bacon. Your stomach
growls hungrily and you force your eyes open to see where the smell is
coming from. To your suprise, is standing a few feet away from your bed,
clad in a white robe. She has bags under her eyes, but the guilt in her
face is all you can concentrate on. She bites her lower lip, her usual
nervous habit, and tries to flash you a smile as she holds up a plate of
food.
"Ummm...good morning, ." She says, her words weak and uneasy. "I made you some breakfast in the dorm kitchen. I thought it might help make up for me being such a grade-A bitch last night."
"Huh?" You ask as you sit up, the memories of last night still filtering into your mind. Once a clear picture is formed, you immediatly shake your head. "No, . You don't need to apologize."
"Yes I do." She says. "You shouldn't have had to put up with my drunken stupor. I made a real ass of myself and acted like a total cunt to you." Her eyes connect with yours and the guilty pain held in them almost floors you. "You didn't deserve any of what I said to you."
"It's okay. I know you didn't mean it." You say quickly. "That asshole Keith deserves the blame, not you."
"He is an asshole, but I still didn't have to go off the deep end." She sets the plate down and walks up to you and sits on the edge of your bed. "I can't believe I said those things to you." She looks at you, hurt radiating from her features. "You don't...you don't think I'm some kind of slut, do you?"
"No, of course not." You shake your head. "I think I understand why you said those things and it isn't because you actually wanted it."
looked like she wanted to add something, but kept her mouth shut. Finally, she spoke up. "Thank you for being such a gentleman about it. I'm so glad I can trust you not to take advantage of me, even when I'm coming on to you like a schoolgirl in heat."
"That was never even an option." You say. "I couldn't take advantage of you like that. I care about you too much."
You hear sniffle back some tears. "Thanks. That means a lot to me." She's silent for a few more moments before finally speaking up again. "Did you mean what you said last night?"
"Huh?" You ask, cocking your head to the side as you furiously tried to recall what you said.
"You said that...you said you wanted me." She whispers, her voice low. Her head is drooped down and she staring at the floor, as if unable to meet your eyes. "Did you mean that or did you just say it to comfort me?"
