The Jason stories
Jason will tell Erika about his life at 5 different parts of the game. If you say "no" to hearing one of these stories, then the ones afterward won't be available.
1) Orphanage fire - hear on the Ougaram Cruiser
2) PSI training - hear at the return to Jasonia Palace
3) AFTP party - recruit JDS
4) Golden Age - recruit UEC (or talk to him with Erika in your party)
5) Infernal War/downfall - recruit WarVoid (or talk to him with Erika in your party)
Recruit Cerra Lekuan
You can permanently recruit Mithia at the end of Erika's subquest if you choose her in both the rogue's lair and the attack on Alassaht sequences. Also, you must have a non-zero atrocity rating. If you futfil those requirements, Mithia will join the party under her true name (Cerra) and you will be able to control her in combat and change her equipment.
Jason and Erika get married!
In the ending, Jason and Erika will get married if you do things out of the following list:
+1 pt for each "Jason story" heard (up to five points!) +1 pt for completing Jason's subquest +1 pt for completing Erika's subquest +1 pt if Erika in party during Jason's subquest +1 pt if Erika in party during Awaldock's subquest +1 pt if you permanently recruit Cerra (Mithia) +1 pt if you choose Erika and beat Awaldock during their duel +1 pt for settling the score with Awaldock one way or the other -2 pts if either Jason or Erika dies during the final battle (-4 if both die)
If you have 6 points or more at the end of the game, you will see the wedding scene. If you have 10 points or more you will see them on their honeymoon in Tapfer. If you have all 12 points, you will walk around Jasonia with Erika in your party instead of Jason alone.
(ed note: I'm not so sure about this anymore...)
Settle the Score
After Magus's attack on Lekuan and the removal of the Terra's Prayer (again), Lekuan is destroyed once more. Erika begins to wonder if any of her people are in the area. Take her to the area outside the Llacheu cavern and you will automatically enter an area. Erika will talk about her past and the attack and vanishing of her mother and sister. She will request to stay there a while, and ask you to leave.
The next time you talk to her, she will rejoin you and her subquest begins. However, if you return to the Hope and get Awaldock in your party, when you return to Erika the two will ask to be left alone. You will choose one character to control, and you must fight the other.
Win or lose, no matter who you choose, after the battle the two will talk about the attack 12 years ago and come to the conclusion that Awaldock didn't murder Erika's family. The two come to the conclusion that Magus' dimensional disortions interfered and pulled them someplace else.
After this, Erika's subquest begins as normal. There are three other rewards. One, you gain a point or two towards the Jason/Erika wedding scene. Two, you get the full story on why Erika and Awaldock hated eachother so much. Finally, Erika and Awaldock call a truce and you can put them in the same party. Hurrah!
Completing Matt's Subquest
You take the Jasonian Hope into battle a total of three times. The first time, you control it and Gman's Epochs against Aquatan-controlled air forces at level 15. The other times you use it, the other parts of the air force will be at level 35, but the level of the Jasonian Hope depends on how many other Black Death Blackbirds you locate. Each located Blackbird will give five levels to the Jasonian Hope and also some other bonus.
NOTE: You must take Matt to each Blackbird. Each Blackbird has a small task that need to complete.
Here are the locations of the fleet:
Black Death 1: Hidden access tunnel in the Allassaht Command Tower. Task: it's locked. Complete Assassinite's subquest and locate this blackbird to find it locked. Talk to Assassinte for the key. Bonus: special tech "Missile Barrage".
Black Death 2: Out in the water at the end of Alassaht's dock. Task: need to reach the jet. Send the Ougaram cruiser back to Alassaht and get on bored to get access to the floating plane. Bonus: major boost to defense.
Black Death 3: Docked in the east Rogue Mountians. Task: finding the darn thing. Bring Wombat or Cerra and have them help you through the montains to the jet. Bonus: major boost to HP
Black Death 4: Located near the hill in Ougaram where you hitch a ride on the Aquatan airship. Bonus: major boost to speed.
Black Death 5: The Jasonian Hope. Does not add a level bonus.
Black Death 6: Hidden in a part of Ougaram accessable by the locked house. Task: opening the gate. Have Tahndelaya meet with the guardians of the Ruby Sphere. The gate will open automatically. Bonus: special tech "Repair crew"
Black Death 7: Destroyed by fighting. Does not add a level bonus.
Black Death 8: Landed in the ruins of the Aquatan airbase. Task: it's locked. Bring Assassinite and Awaldock to the jet to open it. Bonus: major boost to HP
Black Death 9: In the fairgrounds area of Aquata Kajar. Task: gain access to Aquatan towns via normal methods. Bonus: major boost to attack
Black Death 10: Omenopolis. Task: complete the Apollo Temple (City of the Sun trials) and talk to the elder of town to gain access. Bonus: major boost to magic
Once you have found at least 7/10 (including the two automatic ones), you can innitiate attack on the floating fortress over Enhasa to free the town and complete Matt's subquest.
Changing the party's leader
It is possible to change the leader of your party from Jason. To do so, complete Jason's, Erika's, Awaldock's, and Assassinite's subquests. After you complete the last of these, those four will meet to discuss the current state of the war against Magus. Jason will admit that, while he is ready to serve and feels he is doing well, a change in leadership could spice things up.
After the meeting, there will be a new computer on the bridge of the Jasonian Hope. Activate it to switch command between Jason, Erika, Awaldock, or Assassinite. Note that you can still put Jason in your party, but the designated leader will make all the importatn decisions and such.
NOTE: This may throw the game in an unexpected direction if you send a certain leader on a certain mission. Be wary of who you send where.
Party Hosilities
Some characters simply don't get along. Here are the list of pairs that cannot be put in the same party.
Erika/Awaldock*
Bill/UEC
Assassinite/Sai'Kar
Scott/JDS
Tahndelaya/WarVoid
- can be fixed by a subquest
"Chaos Invasion" Plot Branch
In order to play all of the scenarios in the first plot branch, you need a certain number of points. Here is the method that points are obtained:
First, you gain points based on your atrocity score to this point. Wombat will ask you a series of questions, and the closer you are to your actual atrocity score, the better. You start with 5 points and lose one point for each point you stray away from your atrocity score. Negative scores are rounded to zero. So you can gain between 0-5 points based on atrocity scores alone.
Your second number of points is based on how many battles you flee from. Subtract a flat 15 from this number. You gain 3 points minus how many times you ran away divided by five. Again, a negative number is set to zero and positive numbers is rounded down. You can gain between 0-3 points on battle flees.
This gives a grand total of 0-8 points. If you have one or less, you are given two. If you have above six, you are lowered to 6 points, the total max.
Points are spent in the following way:
1 point: Wombat's Dragon's Den scenaro
2 points: Assassinite's Ougaram scenario
3 points: Erika's Maraguo escape scenario
Once you play all the scenarios, run out of points, or decide to continue on without playing any more scenarios, the game proceeds with Jason.
Bill Thunder Transformation
Bill's innate is secretly thunder. Although it says fire in the box and he uses some fire moves, his magic defenses are actually based on thunder. The player might figure this out when Torch does lots of damage but Jolt does nothing.
When Bill transforms to Thunder, the following moves are changed:
Fire Sword - Volt Sword
Blaze Sword - Lightning Sword
Burnout - Overload
Fire Twister - Thunder Twister
Meteor Swarm - Field Recharge
Koffing Dolls
There are 50 Koffing Dolls scattered in the six dimensions. In each, there is someone looking for the dolls. Bring them the number of dolls they want and you will get a reward. You don't actually lose the dolls when you claim the reward.
