Brief Character History
Empress was born of a middle-class Audente family during a chaotic period of history. Shortly after the creation of the Ultimate Civilization Republic, the Greek Civilization Kingdom (which contained Audentior) seceded, creating a major cold war. Empress grew up in an unsafe world. At a young age, Empress had a fateful meeting with Stodlum, son of Studlåm, creator of the shadow organization known as the "Emperors." Empress felt that the similar names meant that she was destined to join the group, and she did. She also fell very in love with Stodlum, although they never married.
For three years, Empress worked as an agent for the Emperors with a girl named Myrin and was in charge of setting up "cell" operations of resistance in other towns, a job that often took her far away from Stodlum, who was based in the headquarters town of Epoli. After a while, Empress finally had enough traveling and decided to stay in Epoli town with her love.
One fateful day, four very strange outsiders showed up at Epoli. They somehow knew of the upcomming plan plot to kidnap King MarkG II, and they were accepted into the band. Empress herself was suspicious of the group, but they did not have enough manpower without their help and couldn't afford to be picky.
Personality and Skills
Everything about Empress is deceptive. From her cute pink dress to her innocent smile, no one would be able to know she is a trained assassin. Empress's dress is one of her assets; it's not nearly as awkward to move in as it looks and helps conceal her intentions as well as a surprising amount of weaponry. Empress is a femanine character and takes full advantage of her disarming outfit and femanine charms to confuse or distract her targets while she sizes them up.
Empress is armed with a fold-up dart launcher that she mounts on her wrist and can hide in her dress. The weapon fires darts with as much accuracy as Empress can herself give: obviously, a steady arm is important. Empress is something of an alchamist, and dips her darts in a variety of chemicals to induce drowziness, paralazation, poision, or instant death in her victom. Empress also carries a number of small knives that are balanced for throwing or melee combat. Empress is a fairly decent ice mage and specializes in freezing objects solid before shattering them with a powerful hit.
Empress is a strong believer in fate; she thinks everything that happens happens for a purpose. She belives her role in kidnapping the king is important part of history. So it doesn't come as much of a surprise that when the CoD Team reveals their mission she sees a higher calling and joins up with them immediately.
Control of Destiny Series History
Empress in Control of Destiny 1
Empress, going foolishly under her real name Lori, helps kidnap the King of Audentior with the CoD team's help. However Evan von Christoph betrays her, poisons Stodlum, and kidnaps the king himself. Empress, the CoD team, Myrin, and Lord Coglacio team up to recover the king and begin to negotiate the end of the war. On the adventure Empress learns of the CoD Team's purpose and feels compelled to join. She remains with the team until their final defeat over the Imperials. Much, much later Empress finds out that her meeting with the CoD Team was indeed destiny; the Time Distortionists arranged it to save Empress from dying on what was historically a botched kidnapping attempt. When the fight ended she retired to the Flying Islands of Jasonia city Kajar.
Empress in Control of Destiny 2
Empress agrees to go on the second Control of Destiny Campaign, however a flaw in Matt Dusch's machine stranded her in Eclipse with LordStone for several months. She later met up with the CoD team, helped find a cure for the ill team leader Jason Steffke, steal the Nightcrash crystal, and escape. At the meeting afteward she rejoined the vastly expanded CoD Team and helped put an end to the Dimensional World War. After the battle ended she founded Lekuan in honor of the people killed in Erika Lekuan's home town and became its mayor.
Empress in Jasonia: The Dark One
Empress continued to be major of Lekuan even after Bill Dusch became dictator of Jasonia. However when rumors of Jason Steffke and Erik Light's rebellion in Kajar became public she rallied a resistance army and helped the rebels take the town. When Jason arrived she went with him and his group to Jasonia Palace to confront Bill, and later all the way to the final showdown with Pure Evil. Afterward she returned to Lekuan with her newly adopted daughter Anne Leos.
Empress in Control of Destiny 3
Empress was overjoyed when Anne became the second President of the FIoJ and stayed as a Jasonian operative to keep the world safe for her daughter. Unfortunately a disasterious war with Shireroth and Attera cut her daughter's presidency short with the collapse of the nation. At her daughter's side and under the teachings of the mysterious man Infiel Galebrush, Empress's Chrono powers developed and she awakened as a Chrono girl. With the help of Sai'Kar Lum'Eth and Amy Leonarkos, the final plans of the Time Distortionists were realized and Fate was destroyed using the combined power of the Chrono.

Trivia
- For a very long time Empress was the only female playable character in the CoD series until Erika and Tahndelaya were added to CoD2's cast. Neither the original version of CoD2 nor JDO had another female playable hero.
- Empress is actually based on a real person with the actual first name Lori.
- Empress never marries and has an adopted daughter, which hints she might have been a femanist.
- Amy is the distant decendant of Empress's adopted daughter Anne, which makes them family though not by blood.
Notable Equipment
Empress's most powerful dart launcher is Destiny's Path, a crossbow used by a famous assassin in Micras literature. It is said that a single shot of this weapon can tell the fate of the intended victim; if the bolt hits the person was meant to die and there is no guilt in killing them, but if it misses the person was meant to live and must be spared.
Like all the Chrono girls, Empress has part of the Chrono Pendant that is one third of the key to opening the Sealed Gate of the Gods in the Existance Core.
