Richie has been 'fisted' by greedy rock bands on many occasions, sometimes literally and sometimes metaphorically. One such occasion was the Intense and Seasons End gig at The Ferryboat Inn in Norwich. Intense knew it was their lucky day when Richie naively agreed to not only pay them to perform a headline set but also to pay their hotel costs for the night! As Intense relaxed in white dressing gowns, sipping champagne and shagging groupies at an exclusive Norwich B&B, Richie realised that he had in fact lost a great deal of money by pampering (unheard of, wannabe) rock stars and was forced to beg to Deviant Soc for money so that he could eat. Whilst Richie's knowledge of power metal may be unbeatable his expectation that everyone else will pay lots of money to hear it is somewhat hopeful!

Another 'fisting' incident occurred after the legendary Bloodstone gig at The Ferryboat. A young and impressionable Richie was lured into the Ferryboat car park with the promise of having at a look at the Bloodstone drummer's 'huge drumstick'. Unfortunately what followed next can only be described as truly Corbarian!
