Vanessa Redignton
Vanessa was always a smart girl in school. She kept her grades up in most of her classes, never letting anything drop below an A. Her Ravenclaw tendencies would shine a lot while she was in school, but there was a reason the sorting hat put her in Slytherin. Vanessa has hardly any morals, at least any respectable morals. She is definitely an Epicurean. She will do whatever it takes for her own personal comfort and pleasure. If something will benefit her and make her excel in personal gain, she will do it, no matter what. If Vanessa was to get blamed for something that she allegedly did, she’d be the first to point her finger at a scapegoat. She never takes for responsibility for her actions, unless that action is to be rewarded. She’s all about personal gain.
Vanessa will never settle for anything less than perfect, especially with her children. She expects them to obey orders and not ask questions. She tries her very best to give them everything they want in order to succeed in being acceptable members of society and tries to be a motherly figure to them as much as she can, but to Vanessa that means getting a Nanny and seeing the children at dinner time and offering her praises on what they have done that day. Vanessa is especially fond of her youngest daughter, Ariel. She dotes on her constantly and always gives her a little bit of extra praise, which Ariel soaks up. Ariel adores her mother to the extent of ridiculousness, and Vanessa loves that. Isis, on the other hand, is a constant reminder of everything that has gone astray in her life. Isis looks like a younger, paler version of herself. That scares Vanessa. She doesn’t like anything to be in competition with herself. (Vanessa is very vain.) Vanessa also doesn’t like the choices Isis has made and how Isis and Claude have such a great, close relationship, it pushes Vanessa to a point of almost jealousy. Vanessa has never been all that emotionally, mentally close to her husband. In truth, she married him for his money. His family had come into money a few generations back, and Vanessa wanted all the luxuries in life. So in order to live the lifestyle Vanessa had always dreamed for herself, was to find a rich man to marry. Claude Redington was the first available, good looking man with loads of money and dying to share it with someone. To the unsuspecting eye, Vanessa is the perfect image of a loving wife. She does love him, yes, but not enough to stay faithful to him on his long trips for his job with Gringotts. He is usually out of the continent more often than not. Vanessa is an Epicurean, she can’t handle that.
History
Vanessa was born to Penelope and Radamas Berkeley on October 22, 1967. She was the third child in the family. She had an older brother, Martin, and an older sister, Cassandra. Being the baby of the family, Vanessa was able to get away with lots of things. Every time she would get blamed for something as a child she would immediately point her finger at Cass or Martin. Most of the time their parents believed Vanessa wasn’t responsible. Vanessa went to Hogwarts just like the rest of her siblings. She enjoyed her years at Hogwarts immensely. After her 7th year, Vanessa immediately went around looking for the best suitor. After a year or so of looking she found Claude Redington. He was perfect for her. He adored her and was willing to offer her everything she could possibly want. Vanessa acted immediately and was married by the age of 20. Shortly after their marriage, Vanessa gave birth to Isis Adele. The idea of motherhood scared Vanessa greatly so she hired a Nanny to look out for her daughter. A few years later, Vanessa gave birth to another daughter, Ariel Katrin. Again, both girls are looked after by a Nanny. Vanessa only sees them a few times a day to make sure they are looking their best and sometimes she would scold Isis for scaring Ariel. (Ariel would come and find Vanessa in tears saying how Isis was telling her scary stories.) Vanessa is very fond of her youngest daughter and will do just about anything to keep her content. One could say it was her own personal experiences of being the baby of the family.
Now, Vanessa spends her days shopping and being a socialite. She often visits her dear friends, Corina Mayfield and Sylvia Foxkith. Sometimes she will visit her older brother, Martin, to rub in her wealth and good fortune in his face. After all isn’t that what little sisters are for?
Slytherin Libra

This combination of sun sign and House ought to be nicknamed "The Magical Corps of Diplomats." Slytherins born under this sign are poised, polished, suave, well read, well bred, and excruciatingly polite and correct in everything they do - the perfect gentry of the magical world. Never a bully or a bravo here! No, these Slytherins would say "I despise you and think your are worthless scum" and make it sound like "How do I love thee? Let me count the ways..." They are discreet, sympathetic, easy to talk to, and know how to put people at ease. This can, of course, be a wonderful asset in espionage (the flip side of diplomacy!) and these Slytherins are more than capable of hiding their true feelings in order to get information or befriend a rival. Because they need to act in partnership with others and hate to be alone, they are rarely decision makers, and must be careful who they seek to befriend, lest they be led astray into the wrong crowd.
