Aislin Castius

Aislin is a sixth year Slytherin with a penchant for pefection. She was the first born, and only ever child born of her parents and it shows very much in her demeanor. She is selfish, bossy, and she can never recognise that others have a right to think in a way that is different from her own. She sees that she should have ideally been a boy, but she tries to do exactly as her parents want her to do. When she was thirteen she decided to go beyond even that, and so plucks at herself, picks at herself, and prods herself into perfection.
She doesn't allow many people close to her becasue she doesn't trust them, however those people that she does allow she simply adores. She has more acquaintances than friends, and more enemies than acquaintances. That is an unfortunate part about being a snobbish, bossy pureblood who expects everyone to be as respectful to authority as she is. She criticises them of course, but she does so in private. In public she is simply offstandish and painfully polite. Inside, she hates many people. They are filth, they are scum, and they all deserve to die.
In her own warped little way Aislin is a hero. She stands up for what she believes in, and tries her hardest to contribute to her cause. She became a Death Eater in the summer between her fifth and sixth year.
Family
Aislin an only child of Sereline Castius (nee Montclair)and Claudius 'Egethor' Casitus. Both are from old pureblooded families. Claudius was the oldest son of his family, and though he was married once before his wife never gave him children. As such, Aislin has no siblings either full or half related.
Sereline believed that her sister's (Cassandra Jones) being pregnant, and giving birth to a lovely little girl just four days before Aislin's own birth was wonderful- and that the two children would grow to think of each other as close friend and sisters. Unfortunately, they didn't.
Aislin and her cousin Samantha Jones do not get along at all. Aislin's first display of magic was turning Samantha's hair ribbon into a child's python when they were but toddlers.
Aislin's other cousin of note, and of an age close to her own is Zoey Montclair. The two get along much better than Aislin and Samantha, although Aislin's mother never attempted to push those two close together.
Being from an old line, and the only child of the heir to the Castius clan, Aislin should have been a boy. Unfortunately she wasn't, but the Castius' have their own procedure for dealing with such things which reflects just how old of a family they are- they still deal with ancient Greek ideals. She is taught things so as to become the ideal mother to the ideal heir.
Aislin is encouraged to become the perfect bride, and shall one day be married and give birth to a strong, healthy boy. Hopefully this will all happen before her father dies... otherwise it will be her closest male relative from the Castius side that she does it with.
Friends
Aislin has been rather attached to one Rowan Foxkith ever since the girls were six. Their parents were quite happy to encourage a friendship between them, and the girls naturally fell into a state of being the best of friends. Very similar, and very alike, it is not hard to imagine that they are cousins rather than Aislin and Samantha.
Belladonna Destruere and Aislin are also very similar. Aislin wouldn't be able to be friends with anyone who wasn't. They have been dormmates for the past six years, and were friends as children. Together they are able to discriminate against each minority, and Aislin is one of the few that Belladonna reserves friendship for.
The thing about being a pureblood is that you meet many other children at pureblooded parties. Tristan du Lac was one of those children. He has been there as far back as Aislin can remember, and his slightly older brother was Aislin's first ever kiss. Aislin considers Tristan's garden just as lovely, if not more so, than her own. He is one of two students in the school that know of her being a Death Eater, because Aislin trusts him with that knowledge.
Caer Forelin up until Aislin's first year, the two were distant acquaintances. That all changed when Aislin found Caer in the library, and discovered that there was more to Hogwarts than blood-traitors and Mudbloods. Over the years they practiced and trained together, and they dated for an extended period in Aislin's fifth year.
Amorisa Amherst is the girl that Aislin wants to reform. She has seen hints of promise and ambition in the third year, and Amorisa gives her sugarquills. What's not to love about that? The only thing that prevents Aislin from considering Amorisa as a little sister is the fact that Amorisa is a half-blood.
Aislin's dorm mates are Phoebe Hamilton, Claire Princeton, Lorelai Wellington, and Jelly Ashworth. She gets along well enough with all of them, considers Phoebe to be a nice enough, although clearly not worthy of being a close friend because of her blood. She adores Lorelai because they hold the same values, and her relationship with Jelly can only be descibed as odd (it involves batman-ponies carved from soap).
