William Martin Davis was born in Adams, Indiana on February 29, 1840 to Truman Davis (b. January 15, 1810) and Mary Fulks (b. August 3, 1813). W.M. Davis was married to Elvira Sigourney Hall in Greene County, Iowa on December 27, 1866. His children were JOHN LOUIS (1869-1941), HENRY PHILANDER (1871-1951), ARTHUR KLINER (1874-1957), SETH IRA (1877-1965), CHARLES WILLIAM (1879-1943), and FRANK PHILIP (1882-1972). She was listed with her husband in Bend, Oregon in 1910. His profession was farmer. His wife died in Springfield on March 3, 1921. He died in Bend, Oregon on January 14, 1933. His grandson is CECIL H. DAVIS.
