New Owners Take Over Donut Shop

Arthur and Cora Halverson of Oakland, California, have purchased Jay's Donut Shop at 4436 McKenzie highway. The name has been changed to Cora's Donut Shop. The purchase was made from Jay and Ida Vickers who operated the shop for the past five years.

The Halversons plan to continue the same service as given by the Vickers. Later on, they hope to expand the facilities.

The new owners are residing in Springfield. They have visited here intermittently for the past seven years as their daughter, Mrs. Robert Good, has resided in Springfield for that length of time. However, Mrs. Good left with her husband and family on October 29 to live in Sitka, Alaska.

The Vickers are in Alameda, California, visiting their son who is stationed at the Alameda Naval Station.
