Mr. and Mrs. Homer Arnn, well known ranchers residing on the Lordsburg highway on the Arnn ranch, formerly a part of the 7XV ranch holdings, received official word Tuesday from Major General J. C. Lambert, U. S. Army Adjutant General, Washington, D. C., informing them of the death of their son, Major John O. Arnn, who died in Viet Nam on December 26, as a result of hostile action. He was an occupant in a military vehicle which struck a hostile mine. Major Arnn, who had an outstanding career in the Army, in which he was making a career, is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary M. Arnn, of Carmel, Calif., and two children, a daughter, Barbara, a university student in California, and a son, John, Jr., and his parents. The remains are being returned to California. Funeral services are being returned to California. Funeral services will be held for Carmel. Leaving for California immediately upon notification of the death of their son were Mr. and Mrs. Arnn, who will attend the last rites and be with their daughter-in-law and family.
