John was born May 13, 1875 in Lane County, OR and died April 18 1959 in Eugene, but was living at 940 Lincoln St in Cottage Grove. He was survived by wife Edith (maiden mane Abbott and was 1st the widow of Emery Sylvester Rauch), daughters Mabel Sprague of Asotin, WA and Thelma Richter of Tacoma, WA, 3 step daughters, Ethel Kuni of Cresswell, Ethel Clark of Culp Creek anad Estella Livingston of Longview, WA and step son Elva Rauch of Walla. Also sisters Margaret Huston of Walla Walla and Maybelle Huston of Pilot Rock, 1 nephew and 2 nieces (known to be Ronald Tripplett, Buelah Burlingame and Bertha Fredericks), 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

There is a lot of mystery surrounding John. Apparently he married the 1st time around 1902-03, probably to the mother of Ethel (Clark) and Estella (Livingston). Unknown if they later divorced or what. By 1920 he is married to Edith (maiden name Abbott and was 1st the widow of Emery Sylvester Rauch of Lane Co). Ethel (Kuni) and Elva Rauch are from this 1st marriage.

My mother remembers Mabel Sprague. She married a Morley Sprague in about 1953 or 1954 possibly in Lewiston, ID or that area. Later possibly lived in the Walla Walla area. Disappeared after that. Unable to locate either of them.
