You rewrote the suicide note to say that whether they found your body or not would depend on who got to it first. You checked and rechecked the ceiling fan in the hotel room, making sure it could hold your weight without breaking, and it could. You sent the note, then dragged a swivel chair under the ceiling fan.
You strip out of your clothes and get up onto the swivel chair. You tie one to securely around the fan and make a slipknot at the other end. You put your head through the loop and tighten it around your neck. Then, you loop another rope around behind your back and between your legs to the front, tying your hands together. The rope going between your legs prevents you from raising your hands to your neck.
