You get on your phone and call your sister.
She picks up. "Uh, hey Joe. What's up?"
"That's what I was going to ask. Where is everybody?" You ask.
"Well, I'm staying over at Stacy's." Of course she was. She sleeps over there often enough you probably would have guessed that if she was the only one gone. "Noah and Riley are over at a friend's house. Mom and dad went out since you were the only one who was going to be home. They tried to tell you but you didn't answer."
"Oh, alright. I had my headphones on." You say.
"We figured. You should eat something." She asks.
"Yes, mom."
"Hey, you spend so much time locked in your room I worry you're skipping meals again." She says. Ouch. You start making yourself a decent sandwich while you talk to her.
"I'm fine, I'm eating. And you still sound like mom."
"Good. Was there anything else you wanted to talk about?" She asks.
