You make your way slowly and cautiously onto the sixth stone square. Even if it's trapped...
It is. It falls away and you reach out desperately for the edge of the next square. Unfortunately, this time you don't make it.
You scream and scream as you fall. And keep falling. You fall for so long that you run out of energy for screaming. What is this? This is much deeper than the pit with the stone spikes under the first trapped square. Eventually, you black out.
You wake up with a start an unknown time later. You look around, finding yourself in an evil-looking cavern with sharp, jagged walls.
A noise comes from behind you. You turn and see a small, malicious-looking man. "Where am I...Who are you...How did I survive that fall?" you ask.
"You didn't," says the small man.
You pale in horror as the realization hits you. "Then I'm in...And you must be..."
"Correct, Miss Van Helsing," says the small man. "I'm the devil, and you're in hell. You weren't supposed to come here. You Van Helsings are such goody-two-shoes. But now that you happened to fall in here, literally, there's no way out."
Or is there?
