You decide it's pointless, and put the phone back down.

From Create Your Own Story

You sigh, placing the phone back down on the leather seat. Although, you kind of want to throw it out of the window, and into the desert sand. But that wouldn't be productive at all. Sliding back in your seat, you can see the stars that are dotted across the night sky. They shine so brightly out here in the desert, with no light pollution to cover them. You grew up in Phoenix, so you've kinda gotten used to the big city life. The only time you can remember leaving the city is when you went on vacation to Florida, since you have extended family living out there. But that was when you were like, nine. It all just seems like a distant memory now. It's kinda surreal, the silence and emptiness of the desert. Your eyes flick towards the gas meter. You have a little less than half, which is weird, you think. You've been driving for almost the entire day, it should be close to empty by now. You try to ignore it, but can't help the little bit of panic that bubbles up from somewhere inside of you. Your situation isn't looking too good. You're almost out of gas, with no cell reception, stranded in the desert. You take a deep breath, and close your eyes, mulling over your situation. Your head hurts. You probably have a headache, which isn't good, either. But now, with your eyes closed, you realize how tired you actually are. You could always sleep it out, but you're not too sure about that idea. You glance longingly at the back seat.

- Sleep it out. There's nothing you can do now, and maybe things will look better in the morning.

- You continue driving, eyeing the gas meter nervously.
