It's been a very eventful day-and-a-half. You let your eyes close as you nestle against Maria's body...
You're walking with Maria in a pleasant European village. The warm rays of the sun shine down through the azure sky. Your cousin holds your hand as you look around at the rustic buildings.
"I love you, cousin Josie," Maria whispers in your ear. "Thank you for joining me on my three months of playing tourist."
"It's my pleasure," you tell her. You lean your head to the side and kiss her cheek. You notice you're approaching a church.
The church bells ring out. You don't remember ever hearing them be this loud. Then they ring out again.
You eyes open with a start and you sit up. The phone rings again and an equally sleepy Maria picks it up.
"Hi!" she says. You listen in to her side of the conversation. "Oh, just taking a nap... yeah, you woke me up, but it's okay... Who? Josie?... Missing? Since when?"
You can't make out the words, but you recognize the voice on the other end of the phone as your mother. Maria shoots you a significant look.
