You go back to sleep, leaving your last remains of weed for some other day. You regret it an hour later, when you wake up again, sweating and breathing heavily. This time it wasn't a knife-armed man; instead, it was a giant serpent, chasing you through the darkness, until it finally cornered you. It jumped, you screamed, and awoke as it's fangs bit into your face.

You growl slightly, annoyed at constantly being awoken by your nightmares. You sit crossed legged, wondering just why your dreams are so cruel. Obviously, you know that your constant stress likely has something to do with it; but, surely, it alone can't reach these extremes?

You fall return to sleep, your head leaning on your arm, it leaning on your knee. Somehow, you manage the last two hours before your alarm clock wakes you at 6:30 A.M. You go through your usual ritual: a hot shower, a search for clean clothes in messy room, then breakfast--prepared by your mother--downstairs. You're mother's generally pretty cool, though your father's kind of a bastard.

Not much you can do though, and you quickly push your parents to the back of your mind. You finish your plate of eggs and bacon, and leave it in the sink. Sometimes, your mother leaves you money under the plate, but she didn't today. Shame, really.

At 7:30 A.M., you walk out the door, dressed in navy skinny jeans, a white V-next tee, and black jacket. Your black bookbag is also hung around your body, and you smile subconsciously as your fingers grip the cool metal of the smiley pin you decorated it with--all you decorated it with. The brightness of the outside quickly makes you smile dissipate; you're not a fan of bright lights.
