You open page 203 and begin reading about the man who will emerge and end humanity. Filled with horrors worse than dying you throw the book to the ground in terror. Instantly your body freezes in the fetal position where you lay fearing extermination. There is a loud knock on the door, a knock that to you sound like the sound of dying. You swiftly grab the book and jump out the window.
You land softly in a heap of snow that saves your from the two stories fall. You descend down the small mountain of snow and wind up right at the entrance of the hotel. Across the street two figures lean against their very own street light. The almost pitch black darkness and chilling winds doesn’t affect them. They stand unnerved, appearing human but under their oversized trench coats something else lurks. You know this, down to a cellular level. They are enemies, pure and simple, not only to you but to every one of your species. They begin walking towards you.
