Scrounging around, you find the wooden baseball bat you stuffed in the closet after deciding the company softball team wasn't your thing. You grip it tight in one hand, and hoist the flashlight with the other. You're probably being paranoid, but better to be safe than sorry.
You open the door just as you hear thunder crack through the sky, and Melanie scream. The hallway is empty, and you make your way quickly to her door.
Pushing it open quickly, you notice her window has been broken from the outside in. Glass litters the floor, the curtains blow in the cool breeze, and rain pours in and onto the carpet. On the bed, Melanie is fighting two men in ski masks who are attempting to pin her to the bed. One man is unbuckling his belt.
