"COME BACK HERE". Dodging the outstretched arms you jump over the table and race down the stairs. Once you have run down a couple stories you look at your loot, a couple of apples, a cup of noodles and some synthetic beef. You shrug, not the best you ever got but definitely not the worse.
Your name is Matt, an average young man, skinny, but clever, without even considering you being from the Fringe and thus lacking a real education. You are a true citizen of the Fringe. You are broke, and your mom was a prostitute who ditched you at age 7. You never knew your father. You have grown up doing everything on your own and know the laws of the Fringe, namely, that there is no law down here. You have lived by staying out of the spotlight but recently that has changed. You have got a reputation as a good fighter and a couple of the local gangs have reached out to you. In the world of the Fringe, your gang can be everything, especially if you lack a family.
One called the Vipers are a local gang who are people who you know and are friendly with. As a gang, they are not that violent and are really more dedicated to each other then any crime. They do protect their own very fiercely though, and thus have been involved in some deaths. The other gang is called the Ace 360 and is one of the most dangerous gangs in the Fringe. Their members are constantly fighting others, and the only thing that keeps the gang from dying out is the mass of recruits. The other option is to try and see if you can go and join the law keepers, though they aren't able to really do much in the Fringe.
