The Echidna Tale/The Lamia

The lamias were some of your favourite and most well-known children. A female only race of half-snakes, they were strong and prideful, seeking men and women alive to mate with and consume. You were especially fond of their form, and it might very well been your most famous one: despite your lack of an actual form to call your own, you were known as a snake woman amongst the foolish masses of mortals.
You had created multiple, distinct races of lamias that all differed in personality, diet and abilities. They all shared one thing all lamias were famous of: the lamia's kiss. Depending on the type of the lamia, it was either feared or revered... or both. You try to recall some of your favourite races...
The green lamias were the most prideful and cunning of them all; they dressed in the finest jewelry and silks they could get their hands on and could spend hours admiring their image from a mirror. Insulting one or making one jealous of you would be a death sentence: an angry green lamia would do anything to pay back thousandfold. Their kiss was the kiss of death: a poisonous kiss that would send her victim to a state of euphoric bliss before their life escaped their body. The green lamias believed this to be the greatest gift they could grant to humans, believing there would be no higher honour than being killed this way by them.
The red lamias were simpler and lustier. They rarely concerned themselves with jewelry or clothes of any kind, and as arguably the most naturally beautiful of all of the lamiakind, there was never a need for them either. They were known to keep people as pets before finally eating them; their kiss was the kiss of lust, and after a few kisses even the most strong-willed heroes became the willing slaves for the red lamias.
