The moment the words leave your mouth, you know you've made a mistake. The cop breathes out, as if disappointed, and then grabs your wrists, tugging them behind you. A moment later, you feel the cold chill of handcuffs snapping into place, and he steps back from you, taking you by the shoulder.
"This way," he says.
You walk, head bowed, ahead of the cop as he leads you to his patrol car. He opens the back door, and pushes hard on the back of your neck to make you bend and climb inside. Once inside, he closes the door and you sit there, hands trapped behind you, while he walks around the front. He doesn't speak as he starts the car, and pulls out of the parking lot.
The drive seems to take forever, and you chew your bottom lip in worry. Public indecency. You shiver as the police station comes into view. You look into the rearview, and you catch the cop's gaze looking back at you.
