Tell George you'll be back tomorrow to check up on Emily

"I guess I'd better go home," you tell George. "But I'll be back tomorrow to check on Emily."
George laughs. "Here's some money. Bring back a cold pack and some bandage material." He hands you $40.
The next afternoon, you return with the cold pack, gauze and adhesive tape. You remove the ice pack on Emily's leg, and with George's help, you get her properly settled with the new cold pack.
This time, you and George stay in the room, and the two of you include Emily in the conversation.
"It's difficult to find someone worthy of her," George tells you. "But you're off to a good start."
Emily laughs. "Dad's been very protective of me."
The cycle repeats for the next week. By that time, Emily has made a full recovery.
"I don't believe in `dating'. Either people are right for each other or they're not," George tells you. "So don't ask Emily for a date. If you think you're right for her, ask me if you can move in with her and get engaged," George tells you.
- Take a deep breath, steel yourself and ask George for permission to move in and get engaged to Emily
