Take aim and fire a shot in the direction of the growl

From Create Your Own Story

Whatever this creature is, you don't want to give it the chance to attack you first. Praying to God for guidance for your shot, you squeeze the trigger. There is a THUNK of a bullet striking flesh and a growl. A growl of pain.

The fog lifts just enough to reveal what is in front of you - a bear. A real bear, bleeding from the wound in its side that you just gave it. With a snarl of fury, the massive beast charges you.

You fire repeatedly, emptying your revolver as you shoot one-handed. The recoil is strong, but your muscular wrist is able to handle it with ease. With a final cry, the bear collapses to the dirt, dead.

You reach into a leather pouch for more bullets, but before you can reload your gun, or indeed before you even have the chance to breathe a sigh of relief, you hear another growl behind you. There is no mistaking what this one is. You've heard it before, less than an hour ago, in William's room. It is the werewolf. It is William.

You turn around slowly. Though at almost six feet tall you are taller than most women and taller even than many men, the hulking figure of the wolfman towers over you. But even in his beast state, you can see the dark, rugged, strong features of the man underneath.

He looks at you with the gaze of a predator, but not the look of a hunter. Instead, it is a look of lust. Raw, animal lust, something you have sought many times over the years but only managed to find on a few precious occasions. You feel your own desire for him begin to grow stronger, sending your mind into a whirling conflict between lust and duty.
