Stay and take care of Bernie

"No." you quietly tell him. "I... I can't leave. Not with you in such a condition."
He seems flabbergasted by your response, and only says, "Uh..."
"I'm not leaving until you're better, and that's final." you firmly state.
"Um... o... Okay. If that's what you want. I won't stop you."
As he says this, you notice a slight twitch between his legs, but he quickly cover it up with his hands, and looks away from you. You think nothing of it, though, and head over to the kitchen to make breakfast. As you prepare some eggs and toast, you realize you should send word to your village that you're okay, and that they shouldn't come looking for you. The last thing you want is for those beastmen to capture someone else, let alone someone you care for.
You end up staying with Bernie for well over a month. Every day he grows stronger, and you have to take care of him less and less. In that time, you become fast friends. Despite him being a beastman, he's so friendly, and funny. You like him, a lot. He likes you, too.
One night, as the two of you sit and enjoy a fire, Berie rests his hand on top of yours, and asks, "Lorisa, can I ask you something?"
"Of course, anything."
He takes a deep breath, and nervously says, "Would you... like to stay here... with me... forever?" This makes your heart jump in surprise. "I mean, this past month with you has been the best time of my life, and I... I love you."
