You follow the squelching noises and... Well, it's certainly not what you were expecting.
Some shapely young maids are cleaning the empty halls. You rub your eyes for a second.
You take another look, and realize there is something distinctly wrong. Their skin is pale blue, their eyes are small pinpricks of yellow light in a dark void, and their uniforms are more slimy and tentacle-y than you'd like. "Ah," you think to yourself, "so these are Shoggoths? H.P. Lovecraft must be rolling in his grave."
And then they notice you.
