Slice through the wall

You slice through the wall and a cave route is revealed. You quickly leave, anything's better than the burning in the flames of the "L" shaped thing.
You run down and trip over a vine in the ground. Totally out of position. You fling yourself forwards and fall down a chasm in the ground before you and land on something soft.
A giant 17'6" demon (when standing on all fours) appears below you. You jump off it and prepare to fight the giant demon called Valefar.
