Since you like your life so much, you decide not to use your powers, afraid you might destroy something. After a year passes, things start to go downhill. You try using your powers for the first time, only to discover that, as the saying goes, "If you don't use it, you lose it." Your wife leaves you for one of your friends, you lose your job of 20 years to a younger man, and one of your daughters becomes a prostitute after becoming addicted to cocaine.

Finally the last straw comes. Your son has been convicted of two counts of murder.

You commit suicide three days later. THE END
