Look more carefully at the love letters

You take the love letters and begin examining them one-by-one. At first you don't find anything of significance, but on the back of one you discover what appears to be the key to the code on the directions!

With your heart racing and the entire crew looking on, you take some parchment, a quill and a bottle of ink from the ship's stores and carefully translate the symbols, one by one. When you finish, the directions read:

GO TO THE INN OF THE BLUE BOAR, RUN BY FILTHY FERNANDEZ, IN THE STRONGHOLD OF MAJELCA. FROM THE BACK DOOR, GO 2 BLOCKS SOUTH AND 1 BLOCK WEST. WALK 10 PACES TOWARDS THE OAK TREE. THE GOLD IS BURIED UNDER THE ROOTS OF THE QUINCE ON THE LEFT SIDE.

"I know that city," Raquel says. "There is no law except what you make yourself." She puts a hand on her rapier, as if to illustrate the point.

You go topside to find the galleon that you were pursuing has reversed course and is heading straight towards you. It's closing fast. The captain shakes his fist as he starts shouting at you to make himself heard.

"I didn't mean to throw out that chest with the barrel," he says. "Hand it over, you cur!"

Tell him you already opened it, but he can have the letters back

Ignore him and order your crew to head at top speed for the stronghold of Majelca
