From years of experience traveling the world and hunting monsters you know that the criminal underground is often the best place to pick up information about anything supernatural. You begin making your way through the streets of Cairo, watching as the scenery around you gradually transforms from the respectable neighbourhoods of the middle class to the dirty, sleazy areas of town controlled by the criminal underworld, a never-ending low-level war between small-time self-proclaimed criminal overlords, far from the eye of the law.
A woman alone on these streets is an unusual sight, and a respectable lady like yourself all alone even more unusual. Though you are now dressed more modestly than you would like - only a small part of your ample breasts exposed by the relatively modest cut of your dress, and the bottom of the dress almost full-length, just short enough to avoid collecting grime from the dirty streets - you still receive stares from almost all the males you pass by. Some are curious, some are excited, and some are cold-blooded and malevolent.
The layout of the streets becomes more twisted and confusing, and after making a turn you find yourself in a dead-end alleyway. Turning around, you find your path blocked by three rough-looking local men.
The man in the center, apparently the leader, steps forward, smirking and showing a set of crooked, yellow teeth. "These streets are dangerous," he says in heavily accented English. "It's not safe for a lady to be out here alone. Why don't you come with us? We'll keep you...protected. Very protected." He chuckles loudly, his two henchmen joining in.
