You scramble for the car, after convincing the entire group that you have a plan. After everyone is loaded inside, you start the car and drive out into the street. Claire and Mikey seem set on complaining the entire drive, and you can barely contain the urge to pull the car over and force them out.
The streets are getting worse. More buildings are on fire. More cars are smashed, burning, and overturned. There are more bodies, all horribly mutilated and in various stages of undress the closer you get to the police station, and suddenly, everyone in the car is quiet when they realize the seriousness of the matter.
You pull into the police station, and see a dim light inside. The parking lot is empty, save for one cruiser. It's tires slashed, it's windows smashed, and it's door nearly torn off, it doesn't look like it's going anywhere. You survey the building and the lot as you pull in, but the heavy rain make the entire place look far more dark and foreboding.
"Do we go in?" Asks Melanie, watching the station. "Or what?"
