"Dear journal, I've left my apartment to search for some food. The nearby grocery store's main gates are down, and the corner store near that appears to have caught fire. Looks like I'm shit out of luck. I found a hamburger sitting in a trash can, but I decided I wasn't that hungry yet. Oh yeah, I just remembered that the new Grand Theft Auto came out yesterday. I would have gotten it at midnight, but the police were still on the lookout for me after the 'lobster incident' when Fable 2 came out, so I couldn't risk showing up. I should totally try to find a Best Buy or something and rob the place. That balding asshole who always told me 'the aisles are not for sleeping, sir, please move along' is probably dead or something. Man, this apocalypse is starting to rock!"
