"You don't need the underwear, I assume?" you say.
"Why do assume that?" he says.
"Huh?"
"Of course I will need to check all of her clothes. You wouldn't believe where passengers have hidden stolen property."
"I wouldn't?"

"Is that all right with you?" you ask Helen. She adumbrates a shrug. All right, if she does not protest, it must be okay. Her bra comes next; better get the difficult tasks down first. Her pants will come off without having to do acrobatics. Helen's bra - black in color - has no clasp on the back. It must have a front clasp. You sigh; you will have to do it again.
"Sorry in advance," you say. Helen grunts. You reach around and reach for the clasp. The clasp opens by rotating one side against the other. "Excellent. Please give it to me and return the clothes to the thief."
"You don't want me to check if she has hidden more stuff?"
"Oh, no no no. I told you it was a matter of principle. It was not about the value of the goods. The consequences will be the same."
Disappointed, you hand the bracelet over to the man and her clothes to Helen. The security guy thanks you for your assistance and issues a coupon for the three star restaurant on board for you and your family. Looks like it really was a matter of principle; the coupon is worth fifty times the bracelet.
