Before pulling through, you watch out for other people a last time. And thank god you did - over the blonde's shoulder, you see another woman in her mid fifties approach. You turn around just in time to avoid the newcomer catch you red-handed. The blonde shields you like the last time, but the other woman takes her time to browse the shelves. The way she checks almost every book reminds more of stocktaking. And if that wasn't enough, another woman drags her husband with her to view the selection.
Inevitably, one of the others will turn towards your side of the aisle. You close your dress as quick as you can, and, with pure luck, avoid detection. Sue looks torn between disappointment and relief. She keeps watch until your dress is in a respectable state. An awkward silence arises. An announcement over the loudspeakers saves you from further embarrassment; Sue's flight has been called.
You make an apologetic gesture and wave her good bye. Sue hurries off. You look after her until she is out of sight. The situation disenchanted you. Most of the thrill of what you intended to do came from the danger of being caught, but as it turned out, almost being caught was the opposite of a thrill. You would have died of shame if those people would have seen you strip for the blonde, and the little tingle from doing it was no compensation.
Your cell rings. Kirsten is summoning you by Julianne's orders. It's time to board the plane. You make a quick detour to the public bathroom to put on your panties before joining your family.
