You wanted it to be a lesson, and a lesson it is. Apparently, the small print of your travel contract allows to exclude passengers from the cruise for misconduct. Theft is explicitly specified as one of the reasons. No matter how much you argue, the paymaster who handles the matter shows no remorse. Debra is to leave the ship at the next port. You have got no choice but to accompany her. Debra cannot travel home on her own.

Three stressful days later you are back home. You don't punish Debra; judging by how she looks, she has learned her lesson, even if it was costly. You just have to make the best of the remaining days before you have to go to work again.
