Downfall/Call Julianne for help

From Create Your Own Story

Not without difficulties, you manage to simultaneously hold your dress closed and get your cell out and call Julianne. When she answers, you ask her to get you a shirt from your suitcase.

"The luggage is already checked in, sweetie," your mother says. "What do you need a shirt for at this point?"

It takes you three attempts to explain Julianne that some of your buttons are torn from your dress. You ask her if she could a t-shirt from the souvenir shop instead. Your mum snorts. "I have a sewing kit in my purse; I'll be there in a minute." She hangs up before you can interrupt and tell her how far open your dress is.

When your mother arrives, she shakes her head in disbelief. "How on earth did this happen?" she asks. I your opinion, it isn't the right time to have a friendly small talk, but you know it's no use unless you explain it to her. You shorten it down to the essentials - you tripped, you fell, someone tried to catch you and ripped your dress open. Your mother looks doubtful, doesn't challenge your story, though - yet. First things first.

"I can't sew on your buttons here," Julianne says. "There is a public bathroom close by." You nod; you know it best. "Keep close to me, sweetie."

You follow Julianne to the bathroom. Nobody seems to notice your predicament; everybody is busy with their own affairs, hurrying to their gates or to the cab stand outside. Julianne steers directly into the stall for the disabled, the only stall with enough elbowroom.

"Give me your dress and the buttons", she commands. You hand over the buttons, then hesitate. It suddenly hits you that you are completely naked under your dress.

"What's the hold-up?" Julianne asks.
