D&D: You go look at the group of guards wearing the city's milita's color and ask them for work

From Create Your Own Story

As you walk towards the guards, they look at you arriving. They quickly put their hands on their weapons but one of them says something that puts them a little more at ease, knowing you. You put your hands up nonetheless in a non-threatening matters and address them calmly.

"Put your weapons back. I'm not here for trouble. I was actually wondering if you needed any help."

One of the guards laugh a little. "You can help us by-"

The second guards look at him sternly. "Hey, this is one of the few good ones. Show some respect." He then turns to you. "Well, I can't say this town doesn't have it's share of trouble but I'm not sure how you are going to be of any help, lass. The lieutenant got us working a double shift."

Another guard quickly adds, "That doesn't mean we want him dead, though." Ah. That reputation of the drow can get you in trouble but gives you an advantage in some situations.

"Are you sure I can't help in any way? I could really use the coin and maybe you could use the extra hands." You can feel the guards are tired while you eye them out. While not particularly fancy or anything, the guards of the milita are well trained and still sexy in their own way. Their bodies are toned and tanned from the long shift in the sun. And you can feel the guardsman don't have much in the form of entertainment as of late. You ponder the thought in your mind and grin a little.

The guards consult each other while you examine them and the courteous one speaks, "Well, I've heard there's trouble in the region though. A caravan got attacked and the merchant who owns it asked the militia to take care of it but we just don't have the time to take care of it. Maybe you could help with that? I'm sure the merchant or the lieutenant would be grateful."

You take a moment to analyze your options.

D&D: You stay for the night and go look for the merchant to strike a deal with him

D&D: You seek out the caravan immediately

D&D: You decide the guards could use a little enjoyement and accompany them back to the barrack
