"I'll take it," you tell Bob.
"Great!" He replies. "Let me show you where the bathroom is and where the laundry is."
You had somehow not noticed that there was no bathroom in the apartment. You follow Bob up another flight of stairs where show you a small bathroom with a toilet, sink, and a shower. Then you follow Bob downstairs past your new apartment and past the bar to the basement where he shows you a little room with a washer and dryer and a short clothes line.
"Let's go sign the paperwork and get you a key," Bob says. You're a bit worried about having to traipse up the stairs to the bathroom, but you've already said you'd take the apartment, so you follow Bob into his office in the bar, sign the paperwork, pay him your $500 for the month, and get a key.
With that you go into your apartment to get settled, but quickly realize that you don't have any furniture, extra clothes, or anything really. And all you have is $100.
