Corruption of Princesses/Elsa and Anna : First day : Visiting the blacksmith

She heads towards the worker district and reaches the blacksmith. It's a pretty wide smithy for a single worker. This smith is the one forging all of the guards weapons. He is not particularly talented by he works pretty fast and alone. He dosn't only do swords too. He handle alot of tools used by the town's artisans. As Anna walks in, the clinging of a single hammer is hard at work inside.
She smiles and step in. The change of heat immedietly washes over from the slightly colder wind outside. The man is plunging a tool inside water while it's still hot, releasing hot steams in the room. She plays with the neck of her robes." Oof.. toasty in here."
The blacksmith immedietly sees her and set aside his worktool to go and greet her. "Your highness. I didn't expect you this early."
"It is allright. I have heard you needed something from me ?"
"Ah yes.. My lady it's embarassing really..."
"Go on" anna ask with her cheeriest smiles. The smith rubs the back of his head and sigh a bit. He's tall. In his 40. His body is fit from the hard work he does. As he takes off his apron, Anna can see several burn marks on his bicep and shoulder.
"The last two shipement, the guards that come to collect the weekly supplies dosn't pay."
"What ?!" anna asked, shocked.
The smithy nods. "The first time, they said that the payment was delayed and would be sent later during the week but it never came. I've tried to get an audience at the castle but I was quickly rebuked. Now this week they've come and said that they simply weren't in charge of sending the gold for the supplies."
"I... see. That's terrible !"
The smith nods, comforted that the princess seems to be taking his issue seriously.
"I didn't know what else to do. I have a friend in the guards so I sent him a letter, hoping it would reach higher."
"You did well ! I am glad it did ! I am terribly sorry for this..." Anna ponder. This is a serious issue. She will have to check at the castle for the source of the trouble and make sure artisans loyal to the castle get their due!
