You pull up Commander Jenkins' personnel file on your computer, it reads:

Date of Birth: September 3, 2365
Species: Human
Gender: Male
Division of Service: Command
Date of Enlistment: June 20, 2388
Special Awards: Space Command Distinguished Service Cross
After you read through the information, you press the com button and ask Commander Jenkins to come to your office.
"On my way" he says.
A couple of minutes later the door chimes.
"Come in" you say.
Commander Jenkins enters your office and approaches your desk. He is a ruggedly handsome man. He's tall with brown hair which is starting to turn gray in the temples. You think his eyes look sad.
"Yes sir?" he says.
"Please, have a seat." you say.
Jenkins sits down in the seat across from you.
"Tell me about yourself Commander" you say.
"Ah, well, lets see," Jenkins says. "I'm from Atlanta, I graduated from the Space Academy in 2392 where I studied anthropology. I was a shuttle pilot for 4 years on Titan Station. After that I served aboard the ESV Ulysses."
"Yes, I've spoken to the captain of the Ulysses. He spoke very highly of you. Tell me, how do you view your role as my first mate?"
"The way I see it, I'm you're right hand man. You tell me something needs doing and I make sure it gets done."
"Good, I appreciate the support, but I'd like your input whenever you think I've overlooked something. I don't need a 'yes man.'"
"Oh you may come to regret that sir" he laughs.
"Well I'm looking forward to serving with you Commander."
"Thank you sir, I can't wait to get out there."
"Well then I'll let you get back to work."
Jenkins stands up and says, "Alright, just let me know if you need anything." He turns and leaves your office.
