Climb out into the hills

Maybe the vampires have some sort of hideout in the hills. They probably won't be expecting someone with night-vision goggles to sneak up on them. You head out into the barren hills. Soon the town is behind you, the lights out of sight.

The wind howls louder, and you feel incredibly lonely. A feeling of dread begins to creep up inside you. Maybe coming out here alone at night wasn't such a good idea.

The harsh whisper behind you takes you completely by surprise. "Nice, those night-vision goggles. Too bad they don't let you see what's sneaking up behind you."

You try to reach for a weapon, but before your hand can even get there you feel sharp fangs bite into your neck.
