Become a guard in the laboratory

From Create Your Own Story

"I'd like to be a guard in the laboratory," you say.

Colonel Gray nods. "Our lab work is very important. We're trying to find a cure that will turn zombies back into humans. For that, of course, we need a steady supply of fresh zombies. And those zombies, of course, are less than cooperative."

A soldier escorts you to the lab. At the entrance, you are greeted by a young, attractive blonde woman in an officer's uniform. "Welcome, Marina," she greets you. "Colonel Gray radioed me about you. I'm Captain Nina O'Connell, in command of the laboratory detachment of soldiers. Glad to have you on board."

"Thank you, Captain O'Connell," you say.

She smiles. "Please, call me Nina. Formalities seem rather pointless now. Anyway, let me show you the ropes."

You quickly grow adjusted to your new work. Each day, groups of shackled and muzzled zombies are led into the laboratory. Scientists inject them with endless new variations of a formula, hoping that one will be the cure. But so far, nothing works.

All the injections are done in secured rooms within the lab. The doors are only openable from the outside. "We can't take the risk of zombies getting loose inside the base," Nina explains.

One day, you are observing outside one of the secured rooms. Two scientists are working with a batch of six zombies, muzzled and shackled together. A soldier is in the room with them.

Suddenly, the chain connecting the zombies snaps. The zombies, now loose, yank off their muzzles and charge the humans. The soldier whips out his pistol and manages to take out three of them before two more overwhelm him, biting his neck and face. The last zombie begins chowing down on one of the scientists. The second scientist bangs frantically on the door. "Let me out of here!"

You move towards the door, but Nina grabs you in an iron grip, her powerful arm muscles rippling. "We can't let the quarantine be breached!"

"What, so we're just going to let him die?" you counter.

Nina's grip loosens, enough that you could break free, if you wanted.
