That's right, you're a banana.

You started life in a bunch, on a tree in Guatemala. One fine day, while you were soaking in the sun, you very suddenly realized that you were being moved!

Your bunch was plucked off the tree, slung into a bag, and you did not see daylight again for a few days. Inside the bag you were jostled around, and were very confused about what was happening.

Everything happened so fast. There were people talking, and then pounding sounds. It got even darker after that, and you could hear load whirring and humming noises. These lasted a long long time, and the next thing you knew, you heard a cracking sound, and it got a bit lighter. Then your bunch was grabbed from the bag, and put on a shelf.

There are lots of other bananas here on the shelf with you, and you can see other fruit nearby.

Two people are looking through the bunches. One, a little old lady, looks at your bunch. The other, a young man, waits for her to choose.

The old lady:

• Picks your bunch, and goes to the check out counter.
• Passes you by, and the young man reaches over, snaps just you off your bunch, and goes to the till.
