Attack the men on the left

From Create Your Own Story

Getting a little ahead of ourselves here aren't we?

You've just started aggravated combat. Aggravated combat differs from scene combat in a few ways. First, scene combat can usually be resolved in one or two choices, and you are in no danger of being seriously hurt or killed as a result of scene combat.

Aggravated combat, however, involves your character fighting your opponents until either you deplete their health or they deplete yours. You are at risk of dying here and it's time to break down what the stats on the status bar mean.

Health: This is how much hit points your character has and how much damage they can sustain before dying.

Mana: This is used to power spells. Casting magic depletes Mana.

Level: This is your character's current level.

Gold: This how much gold your character has available to spend.

Euipment: All the items currently in your player character's possession. This is extremely important to keep in mind your weapons in addition to those of your opponents. Certain weapons are advantageous against others. The six weapon types are Swords, Bows, Axes, Spears, Staffs, and Maces. Maces and Axes are good against Spears and Staffs, while Staffs and Spears are good against Swords and Bows. To finish it off, Swords and Bows are good against Axes and Maces. Remembering this weapon chain is key in aggravated combat.

Love Interest: Who you're character is currently crushing on, attracted to, or romantically involved with. This can change over the course of the game.

Experience: This how much experience your character currently has. You gain experience through aggravated combat and completing quests.

Now that we've explained the stats it's time to explain how aggravated combat works. Once aggravated combat begins you will be given the choice to attack your opponent, cast spells, or activates skills. Your opponent's health will be displayed as a percentage. If you die during aggravated combat it's game over. Good luck!
