Assassin/Day 1 - Play with the new chemicals

You gather up a set of liquids to create some handy explosive test tubes. But just as you have started filling up the first one, you sense a presence in the room. It has to be an assassin, but you never knew about anyone that good. Perhaps there are even more secrets they have plotted against rogues. You keep working on the tube without showing any awareness since it's probably your best option right now.

When you realize it's taking too long for the assassin to make a move, you know he's already on it — not straight behind you, since that would be just too obvious. You perform a perfect split with your legs, falling down on the floor in a fraction of a second while the poison dart aimed at you hits the equipment on the table. It came slightly from above, and by lying your back on the floor, you distinguish a dark figure crouching in the shadows on one of the cabinets. A quick roll to your left and with the help of your hands, you spring up from the floor to a standing position behind the cabinet by the wall.It takes you out of sight of the darts to nullify the risk of getting hit by one.

Apart from the distant traffic outside, everything is completely silent, while you and the assassin each listen to any sounds the other one would make. You don't have any options to move without him seeing, so you do it fast before he has time to think more. Another dart almost hits your neck while you dive behind a counter in the middle of the room. Your explosives aren't ready yet, but there's some acid in one of the beakers on the counter. The assassin is closer to the door than you are, and the only other exit is a closed window which would take way too long to get open.
