You expect me to be either horribly broken from what I've endured or a simpering little twat who's so grateful to see a man that might be able to protect her that I just fall into your arms and beg you to save me?" She chuckles.
"No, that's not what I meant," you say.
"Not everyone gets along," she says with a shrug. "I'm not in need of saving, and the more you press on with this matter, the less I like you."
