Guares sighs, but does so with a smile, if only a fake one. "Sure. Come on, let's go to the living room."
You nod and follow him out of the bedroom, leaving Master Surana in bed.
Guares sits down on a large leather chair, while you sit down across from him, in a smaller yet equally fancy seat.
"Want some tea?" Guares casually asks, clearly avoiding the conversation.
"Um... no thanks, Master."
Guares sighs again, and runs his paw along his head. "Sorry, I'm just... not used to sharing my feelings. Surana isn't the type to share your pain with. She wasn't always like that though."
"Really?"
Guares nods. "Yeah. When we were younger, she was lively, kind, and very playful. That's what I fell in love with, and why I mated her. But ever since the human rebellion, she turned bitter, cold, and her heart filled with hate. That's why I can't get hard with her anymore, because she frightens me. You saw how she was."
You timidly nod. "Do you still love her?"
"Of course I do. I love her with all my heart. But I hate what she's become. I guess that's why I'm so attracted to you, you remind me of what she used to be."
